Pataskala Porpoises

The Pataskala Area Swim Team is a summer recreational swim team with swimmers from Pataskala and surrounding areas. The team was established in the 1970s by Larry Fruth, as was the Tri County Aquatic League in which the Porpoises swim. The Porpoise Swim Team provides a fun, safe, supervised summer activity for children to learn and compete in swimming. Children able to swim across the length of the pool unassisted, up to the age of 18, may join the team.

Mission Statement

The Pataskala Porpoises Swim Team provides an opportunity for all children to engage in a fun, healthy, life-saving, lifetime sport and recreational activity. Our team provides an enjoyable environment to build sportsmanship, character, skills, friendships and health. The success of our team is determined not by the number of meets won, but by the individual successes of our swimmers. This includes dropping times in events, swimming an event without a disqualification for the first time, or even just feeling confident enough to try a new stroke. We are dependent on committed swimmers, family participation, a dedicated board, and a qualified coaching staff.
