Josh spent more than eight years coaching for the Reynoldsburg Raiders high school team and has been on the coaching staff for the Porpoises for a couple years both, as an assistant coach and head coach. Summer swim has a very special place in his heart because he loves the fun and silly bonding that comes with hanging out with the team!
Ruthie has been involved with the Porpoises for 14 years, swimming on the team 12 years and coaching for 3. She is a graduate of Watkins Memorial High School and just finished her first year of college at the Ohio State University for her Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. She’s looking forward to another wonderful season with the Porpoises!
Gracie Allen will serve as an assistant coach for the Pataskala Porpoises this summer. She began swimming for the team at age five and continued through her graduation from Watkins High School in 2024. During that time, she also competed for the Newark YMCA and swam all four years on the Watkins High School team, earning her varsity letter as a sophomore. She is currently entering her junior year at the University of Cincinnati, majoring in Elementary Education. Swimming has played a significant role in her life, teaching perseverance and fostering lifelong friendships—values she hopes to pass on to her swimmers.
