Board of Directors
A Board of Directors is an elected group that manages the affairs of the team in accordance with the by-laws and consists of the following positions: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Information about the duties of the positions and nominating procedures can be found in the Bylaws.
This is Valerie's first year as board president for the Porpoises. She served as vice president last year. As a previous Porpoise swimmer, her own three boys have been swimmers on the team, and a teacher in the district, she is invested in the team. Her youngest currently swims year round and will be starting his 6th summer with the Porpoises.
Cassie served as the president last year after being Vice President and secretary the years before that. This is her family’s tenth season with the team. Her two daughters are members of the Porpoises and during the winter months, both of the girls swim for the Gahanna County YMCA. Cassie is a local teacher in the Southwest Local School district where she serves special needs students in third grade.
