Dear Swim Team Families,

The Porpoises board members are excited to welcome you to the 51st season of the Pataskala Area Swim Team (PAST)! Registration will be open for returning members from April 1st through June 6th.

This year, we are introducing a new Picture Day, Open House, and Evaluations to kick off the season on Wednesday, May 28th from 5:00-8:30 PM! Pictures and the Open house will begin at 5pm, with Evaluations occurring from 7pm-8:30.

First, we will have our pictures taken, so make sure you are there so you can be in our team photo! You can find the pictures order form attached and it is also located on our website. Having this printed and ready to go will expedite the picture process.

For the Open House component– This is your chance to invite some friends that aren't currently on the team that might enjoy joining the Porpoises. Have them stop by, meet our coaches and see what we are all about! New members will be able to register from April 15th through June 6th so they’ll still be able to join after attending the open house!

And for Evaluations–Participating in evaluations is NOT required but if your athlete is between groups or you are uncertain which level is appropriate, this is a fantastic opportunity to meet with our coaches for guidance. We encourage everyone to attend the evaluation as this helps our coaches make sure that your kids are at the right level.

First day of practice will be June 2, 2025.

Additional Notes:

• Each Team membership includes a membership to the Pataskala Pool this year.
• Each Team member will receive a team T-shirt this year.
• Caps will be available for purchase at the Open House. Caps are $15 each.
• If you would like additional apparel options, our Team Apparel Shop is open NOW through May 14th. All orders will be delivered in bulk and distributed at practice. A portion of the proceeds from these items support the team so please consider buying some spirit wear!
• Job sign-ups for our swim meets will soon be open on our website. Please sign up early. If you need to cancel, you can decommit from the job, but we ask for your consideration as finding last-minute replacements can be challenging. If an emergency arises and you cannot attend a meet you are signed up for, please notify me and a coach as soon as possible.
• If you are in need of financial help and live in Licking county, please check out our website under the resources tab for scholarship opportunities.
